As the Business Manager, you will lead and manage a diverse team of business services staff across a range of corporate services functions by providing strategic and contemporary leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring that the team meets all departmental budget management, HR and procurement requirements and maintains a high-level customer service focus.
What you'll do
Prepare and review high level reporting and correspondence for senior and executive staff on financial, compliance, human resources and emerging issues as required.
Provide expert, strategic and timely advice on a broad range of executive, corporate service and business management matters to the Manager Business Services, managers and Senior Leadership team within the Division.
Manage and maintain strong, positive relationships utilising highly developed communication skills when liaising with executive members of the Division, branch staff and other departmental inter-government stakeholders, ensuring effective outcomes are achieved.
Oversee the management of end-to-end processes of the annual budget, month end reconciliation, financial assurance and controls, reporting deliverables and responsibilities within the division.
Lead and direct members of the teams within the Business Services Branch, delivering efficient and effective business services, enabling strategic and operational objectives.

Demonstrated experience in successfully leading, managing and developing a diverse team within a high-pressure environment.
Proven ability in developing and implementing business improvement initiatives to directly enhance service delivery outcomes and expectations.
Demonstrate high level consultative, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including the ability to direct and influence others through the provision of advice and preparation of reports, briefs, recommendations and proposals.
Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and interpret issues and develop quality options and strategies to resolve complex business matters.
Behave in a manner which demonstrates that Corporate Services Division is a professional and customer focused service.
