**About the role**

An exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join our growing team based in Yennora in a newly created role.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the profitable and timely movement of incoming and outgoing containers via road and rail and follow all safety and environment requirements by effectively leading and managing teams to meet operational and customer needs while remaining cost effective.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Ensure productivity and operational performance targets for the site are met
- Monitor and review workforce productivity to ensure maximum productivity is being achieved
- Manage labour and equipment running costs within budget
- Develop and maintain a high standard of communication with customers and day to day management of customers operational requests
- Ensure compliance to Health Safety and Environment policies and procedures and WHS legislation
- Lead by example in the execution of safe work practices and ensure the continual identification and management of hazards to reduce accidents and injury while ensuring the business meets all HSE compliance requirements
- Ensure all legislative and accreditation documentation is submitted in accordance with AQIS/depot license requirementsManage individual employee performance, engagement and training

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- Minimum 5 years container operations experience in a team leadership role
- Extensive team leadership experience with demonstrated effectiveness in team engagement, cultural development and process improvement
- Ability to effectively liaise with customers
- Knowledge of WHS requirements and obligations
- Experience with Containerchain and 1-Stop
- Sound understanding of Rail loading and dealing with rail network
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partiesProven problem-solving skills
