**About the role**

Manage and have accountability of Parks Operations, with the objective to enhance the usage of open spaces both now and into the future. Ensure that service levels are maintained and evolve to meet future needs of the community

On a daily basis you will:

- Oversee the operational management of open space horticultural assets, to provide maximum benefit to the community while ensuring the long-term viability and sustainability of the asset.
- Influence the planning and execution of Council’s programs and Service Plans relating to open space assets to optimise and implement innovative solutions for Council and the community.
- Foster a culture of accountability for outcomes and the success of the team to optimise the impact of the asset.
- Oversee procurement, manage tenders and contracts
- Lead the team to develop and nurture relationships between Council and community stakeholders to develop strong partnerships and deliver valuable services.

**About You**
- A degree qualification in Horticulture, business, or related discipline
- Demonstrated planning skills including the ability to develop written action plans with clearly defined objectives and strategies that respond to identified needs both current and future.
- Advanced change management leadership within a highly complex stakeholder environment
- Significant operational experience in the management of parks & open space, with a proven track record of achieving strategic objectives.
- Significant experience managing contractors and workforce
- Significant experience in leading diverse, multidisciplinary teams and delivering services to a high standard to meet financial and other business performance criteria.

We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $152,664.84 to $169,233.08 (salary + super)._ _
