**About the role**
The Sydney Videographer is responsible for conceptualising, producing and
creating online videos across the various Time Out Australia digital platforms. They
are specifically responsible for end-to-end production, will work closely with the
internal creative team and produce video content to suit both editorial and
commercial needs.
**Key Responsibilities**
The primary task of the videographer is to work with both internal and external stakeholders to produce quality online video content that drives engagement, audience growth, and revenue for the business.
Responsibilities, in order to achieve this goal, include:
- Produce commercially and editorially led online videos across multiple platforms from short form, daily content for social media to long-form series
- Devise creative treatments and executions and see them through from planning to delivery. This includes working with editors and design team on concepts, planning shoots (in studio and on location), sourcing any necessary props and costumes, obtaining model releases, shooting video (with high-quality sound and lighting), editing it in AfterEffects, Premiere Pro, Audition, and working with the team to set live
- Create engaging videos that meet individual and team goals (eg, engagement, traffic, conversion, etc.)
- Create motion graphics packages and animations
- Posting videos on social media where required
- Work closely with the TOAus internal stakeholders (commercial, content, social, creative studio) to plan videos consistent with the needs of the business
- Help maintain Time Out’s video archive
- Work to ensure Time Out videos reflect house style
- Ensure Time Out meets its copyright and legal obligations
- Manage freelancers as needed
- Ensure office video equipment is in good working order; budget for repair/replacement as needed
- Act as an effective brand ambassador for Time Out Group and an evangelist for our brand in the market.
**Skills & Experience**
- Be commercially astute and display clear understanding of the financial and functional dynamics
- Clear ability to collaborate across business functions and with external parties
- A demonstrable passion for and excellent knowledge of video production
- Expertise creating graphics and animation
- High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise accordingly
- The ability to work quickly to tight deadlines under pressure
- Flexibility, urgency, drive and a professional approach at all times
- The ability to self-supervise in order to meet deadlines

**Additional Notes**
- Sydney Office located at 410 Elizabeth St, Surry Hills (moments from Central Station, Chalmers St entrance)
- Time Out may from time to time modify these duties and responsibilities but only to those which you have the relevant skill and competence
- Time Out will grant days in lieu for weekend/public holiday activity provided that this is agreed in advance
- Work-related activity that falls within Mon-Fri, yet outside of work hours is assumed part of the role
