**The opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Risk Analyst to join our team This role will be accountable for the operational activities supporting effective implementation of the Risk Management Framework in the Bupa Australia Health Insurance business unit.
Working with the Risk Management Enablement team, the Risk Analyst will be part of the first line of defence risk team, undertaking field work and data analysis to assist with providing meaningful information to the business, risk committees and Board. A key requirement is the ability to build a strong and trusting rapport with business contacts, facilitating two-way interaction in relation to risk, controls, incidents, issues and compliance matters.
The role will have flexible hybrid work arrangements and ideally be based in Melbourne. We will also consider applicants based in Brisbane, Sydney or Adelaide.
**How will I help?**
Key accountabilities include:
- Develop and maintain a strong rapport with business contacts
- Provide education in relation to the Risk Management Framework
- Assist with execution of risk management activities that includes risk workshops, compliance obligations, Risk & Control Self-Assessment, incident management, issue management, risk register reviews
- Be accountable for control verification, data analysis, KRI assessments and interpretation
- Ensure escalation thresholds and triggers are enforced
- Collaborate with other members of the Risk Management Enablement Team, to provide a seamless, comprehensive service to the business
- Be an advocate for a robust and transparent risk culture and lead by example

**What do I need?**
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting or Risk Management
- Chartered accountancy and/or Risk Management Accreditation (RIMS, RMIA or similar) preferred
- 3+ years experience in Risk Management roles in large organisations in financial services and/or Insurance
- Strong analytical skills in order to convert risk and incident data into meaningful management information
- Ability to analyse and present data in a clear and succinct manner for management reporting
- Experience in contributing to risk workshops
- Strong attention to detail and time management
