- Manage the human, financial and physical resources of the unit in consultation with the Manager to develop solutions that drive a culture of integrity and advance the effectiveness of all stages in the recruitment lifecycle.
- Provide guidance and expert advice to the team to ensure selection processes are transparent, effective and provide bias free selection decisions in accordance with QPS policy.
- Lead, develop and implement business processes, governance frameworks and risk management strategies to ensure selection panels are impartial, ethical and being completed in a timely manner, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Research and identify emerging recruiting trends and lead the formulation, development, implementation, and evaluation of sworn recruitment initiatives and training material.
- Prepare high quality advice and brief senior management on the policy, planning, and strategic responses to the effectiveness of sworn recruitment strategies.
- Lead and coordinate selection processes as a panel chair, including the development and completion of documentation to progress all aspects of merit-based selection, providing advice and direction to panel members and undertake responsibility for the integrity of the process.
- Prepare and present complex submissions and provide high quality advice to senior management in relation to merit selection processes.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate complex issues, strategies, and initiatives in a clear and concise manner.
- Maintain a range of collaborative networks across QPS and other stakeholders to monitor and support all aspects of the delivery of a fair and transparent promotion system.
- Manage and undertake projects as required on behalf of senior management.
