Centred Social Services is seeking dedicated and compassionate Community Support Workers to join our team in Penrith. As a leading provider of drop-in support, community access, and supported independent living services, we are committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals in our community.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Client Support**: Provide person-centered support to clients accessing drop-in services, community activities, and independent living arrangements.

2. **Assessment and Planning**: Conduct initial assessments and collaborate with clients to develop tailored support plans that promote independence and well-being.

3. **Supportive Interventions**: Deliver practical assistance and emotional support to clients, fostering their skills in daily living activities and community engagement.

4. **Advocacy**: Advocate for clients' rights and ensure they have access to appropriate services and resources within the community.

5. **Documentation**: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, goals, and any incidents, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.

6. **Team Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure holistic care and continuity of support for clients.

7. **Compliance**: Adhere to all relevant legislation, standards, and policies to uphold the safety and dignity of clients at all times.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within disability support or community services.
- Certificate III or IV in Community Services, Disability Work, or a related field (or currently studying towards).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships.
- Empathy and understanding of the needs of individuals with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.
- Current First Aid certificate and valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $52.15 per hour
