We are currently seeking a Horticulture Grower to join our “growing” team at Tatura, Mansfield and Warragul The Horticulture Grower is responsible for assisting the Senior Grower in the development, management and implementation of the growing strategies as well as managing/leading the team in order to achieve budgeted levels.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities of this role will include (but are not limited to):

- Planning, implementing, maintaining and coordinating the crop memo strategies to achieve budgeted production levels, meet contract requirements and satisfy market demand (including everything from crop selection, planting requirements, climate risk management, growing and maintenance requirements and collection through to marketing activity).
- Organising and conducting horticultural operations, such as collection, storage and quality control
- Daily crop and water management observation and reporting (incl. quality of setting and produce, Ec & pH levels, fertiliser requirements and pests and diseases).
- Develop and manage routine maintenance schedules and manage daily maintenance and parts requests.
- Stock control.
- Financial responsibilities, including management of labour budget.
- Management of team, including recruitment, performance, induction management and training.
- Management of rostering and daily work allocation.
- Manage work health and safety processes and reporting including supervising high-risk duties, managing SWMs and SOPs.
- Maintain grower/climate software.

**ABOUT YOU**:
**Skills & Experience**:
We are seeking a motivated, safety conscious individual with the following experience and attributes:

- Minimum Cert III or IV in Horticulture/Agriculture plus 3 years’ experience OR a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Experience in all responsibilities/activities shown above.
- Current Forklift license.
- Sound mathematical skills.
- Experienced in the use of Climate Software and with intermediate general computer skills.
- Experienced in leading a team and/or training, coaching and influencing.
- Flexible and reliable - available for on call emergency roster.
- Ability to work in warm climate (23-30 degrees).
- Physically fit for the inherent requirements of the role.
