**Purpose**
- Prepare and deliver integrated asset management plans for land management, including water supply

catchments, for waterway protection and for other associated lands owned or under management of CHW.
- Provide leadership in the delivery of asset management processes and associated activities with the use of

Asset Management systems such as Infor Public Sector (IPS), geographic information systems (GIS), and
mobile technology within the Environmental Services team and associated contractors.
- Analyse and report on environmental land and water asset condition utilising GIS and data analysis skills and

continuously improve systems, processes and programs for internal and external stakeholders on matters
relating to natural resource management.
- Help CHW to meet our regulatory and stakeholder obligations to maintain and restore our natural assets, through

better business decisions and the implementation of operational management systems.

**Key Duties/Responsibilities
**Management Systems**
- Supporting the development of catchment asset management, technical and detailed plans in regard to long

term Environmental Master Planning for land and assets managed by CHW.
- Develop and implement tools and systems in accordance with CHW’s Environmental Management System, that

assist management and staff in complying with environmental obligations; in particular the protection of natural,
cultural and heritage assets.
- Provide leadership, guidance and technical advice to internal stakeholders in relation to passive recreation,

natural asset management, biodiversity protection and enhancement, and environmental obligations.
- Ensure that CHW’s operations comply with all state and federal legislation relating to pest species management

and the protection of natural assets for example; cultural, heritage, flora, fauna and vegetation offset.

outcome.

**Digital and Geographic Information Systems**
- Provide support to the Environmental Services group to continually improve and capture environmental assets

and infrastructure data and integrate this within CHW business systems for example; asset management
systems (such as Infor Public Sector (IPS)) and the ongoing development and management of geographic
information management systems (such as ArcGIS).
- Provide strategic planning information to inform annual and seasonal land maintenance activities.
- Provide leadership within the Infrastructure Planning and Operations Division on the use of environmental

geographic information systems and support in regards to capturing assets in asset management systems.

**Work Planning**
- Conduct routine site inspections to develop and maintain periodic reports on the extent and condition of CHW

environmental assets.
- Support the Team Leader and Land Assets Team to identify, plan and schedule the catchment and land asset

maintenance annual works programs
- Conduct catchment inspections to assess natural and infrastructure asset conditions and maintain
