BESIX Watpac is seeking a Workplace Health and Safety Manager to support our Qld, NT & NZ construction business in maintaining safety compliance and assisting with building excellence in safety across our projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Proactively drive company safety, environment and quality policies, practices and procedures in compliance with Management Plans and OH&S legislative requirements to provide a safe workplace at all times.
- Provide guidance and leadership to site-based Project Safety Coordinators.
- Undertake, coordinate and prepare regular internal and external audit processes for the business unit.
- Investigate any serious incidents and report findings to site and senior management.
- Conduct OH&S safety training for project personnel.
- Identify and manage OHS risk.

**Qualifications**:
The incumbent in this role will require:

- Demonstrated experience in a safety leadership position within a building/construction organisation, at a project, regional or business unit level.
- Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high pressure environment.
- Proven high level of professionalism, maturity, candour and confidentiality in daily work ethic.
