**The Position**

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, as the Head of Workplace Health & Safety, you will be pivotal to the development and implementation of strategic risk management frameworks that are critical to the handling of Health, Safety & Environmental risks across the organisation. Partnering with the site leadership and operations teams, you will initiate and drive positive change in HSE performance, systems and processes. This position consults closely with the workplace heath & safety members across all sites to bring group alignment, and works closely with senior managers across the group including people and culture and training teams. The position has four Workplace Health & Safety Advisor as direct reports.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the broader organisation to embrace the shift from a compliance-based paradigm to a new view of workplace health & safety;
- Engage senior managers and other stakeholders in the facilitation of enhancing capacity of the organisation’s leaders in relation to health and safety;
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements;
- Assist in ensuring the continuous improvement of work health and safety management systems;
- Be a key contributor to the site leadership teams, including the development and execution of site workplace health and safety agendas;
- Partner with the site leadership teams to build the capability through effective relationship building, influencing and coaching.

**Skills and Experience**
- Demonstrated experience in a WHS Management position managing a team, ideally within food manufacturing or supply chain and logistics;
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety or related business discipline;
- Demonstrated experience in effectively implementing a health & safety management system and demonstrated skills in reporting and developing action plans;
- Knowledge of contemporary safety issues and best practice, and the statutory and regulatory framework requirements regarding safety at work;
- Strong communication and ability to be a highly influential member of a team, across all levels of an organisation;
- Ability to engage with and influence workforces at various levels, and differing cultures and personalities.
