**THE ROLE**

The Team Leader leads a team of Housing Services Officers to provide a range of departmental housing services and meet the holistic needs of clients. The role operates within a dynamic environment. The Team Leader must have a capacity to understand the complexities of the organisational and area context, exercise sound judgement, deliver on outcomes and develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE**
- Manage the allocation of resources within and the outputs required of the work area.
- Effectively supervise and provide leadership to a team of employees by:
(a) modelling behaviours integral to good people management and departmental values

(b) supporting individuals to achieve their potential while maximising their contribution to achieve their goals and outcomes

(c) where relevant, support specific improvement objectives in annual improvement plans relating to the area of responsibility

(d) building and maintaining positive relationships with peers and stakeholders across the organisation.
