Dental Assistant

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a highly-motivated and well-presented individual for the role of Dental Receptionist who can also assist in surgery.

You will join our close-knit team on a casual basis **( 1 - 3 days per week)** with a view to move to permanent in the future.

**Skills and attributes**:

- 2+ years minimum experience as a dental receptionist/assistant
- Knowledge of Core Practice _(desirable)_
- Outstanding organisation, communication & interpersonal skills with a positive and motivating attitude
- Of caring/bubbly nature and willingness to genuinely help patients
- Certificate III / IV in dental assisting preferable
- Strong understanding of Infection Control practices
- Computer literacy
- Willingness to grow with the practice, keeping strong work ethics

**The role involves**:

- Welcoming patients
- Customer service and patient communication
- Appointment scheduling over the phone & face to face
- Private insurance claims
- Medicare claims through hi-caps machine
- Treatment plan follow-ups
- Dental assistant duties (Sterilisation, treatment room set up, assisting chair-side when required)

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 36 per week

Schedule:

- Fixed shift
- No weekends

**Experience**:

- Dental assisting: 1 year (preferred)
