**Location**: Base location Maitland NSW. This is an outreach role that predominately services the Hunter region of NSW. Some overnight travel is required.** Applicants must have an unrestricted class C licence as a condition of employment.**

**This role sits within the Fines and Debt pillar of Revenue NSW in the Outreach Support team.**

**About the team**

Join a team that is actively working to reduce the disproportionate impact of fines and debts on Aboriginal people and people experiencing hardship. In this role, you will provide outreach services in communities to support customers experiencing hardship resolve their fines and debts.

**Your day-to-day**
- Attend outreach events and support customers to resolve their fines and debts
- Engage and form productive relationships with community stakeholders
- Present information to educate customers and community stakeholders about the fines system and resolution options
- Work together with community partners to develop local plans to tackle issues that lead to fines and debts in communities
- Manage your own time and workload to make an impact in your community

**To be successful in this role you will demonstrate**:

- A passion for making a difference in communities across NSW through providing excellent customer service
- Ability to act with compassion, empathy and cultural competence when supporting customers and stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present information to diverse audiences
- Experience using technology in the workplace, including Microsoft Office products

**What we need from you**:
An up-to-date CV and a brief cover letter outlining how your skills and experience are aligned to the role, along with evidence of Aboriginality and class C licence.
This role is for the employment of an Aboriginal person in line with the Department’s Aboriginal Employment Strategy.

Aboriginal as defined by the Aboriginal Lands Rights Act 1983 (NSW) is a person who:

- identifies as a person of Australian Aboriginal descent
- presents documentation identifying their family’s Aboriginal descent
- is accepted by their local Aboriginal community as a person of Aboriginal descent.
