The Land Engineering Agency provides services in engineering, testing, design and development, and technical data management. These services are provided across the whole of the Defence Capability Life Cycle.

Land military equipment and systems may consist of, but are not limited to: vehicle and armoured vehicle systems, soldier protection, weapons, biomedical, communications, simulation, power generation as well as chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear systems.

The APS 5 Technical Officer will be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility. You will be required to communicate and engage stakeholders, plan, lead, develop, integrate, manage and evaluate Defence capability to deliver specific technical aspects. You will undertake specialist, technical research and analysis, conduct reviews, assessment, investigations and perform procedural, administrative support work to achieve results.

**About our Team**
The Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) is an integral part of the Department of Defence. This group purchases and maintains military equipment and supplies in the quantities and to the service levels that are required by Defence and approved by Government. Within CASG, the Land Domain acquires and supports designated land systems for the Australian Defence Force.

The right person for this role will be a Technical Officer who is accountable under limited direction to draw upon knowledge of a technical field to achieve moderately complex work within an integrated workforce.
