Our** Assistant Manager Reservations - Maternity Leave contract role **would someone who is working in a similar role and is happy to commit initially to a 6 month contract.

**Reporting to our Revenue and Reservations Manager your role will require you**:

- Performance manage the reservations team ensuring proper completion of all assigned duties.
- Contribute positively to the achievement of resort guest satisfaction levels and resort revenues through effective enquiry management and conversion.

Elements of Byron is a privately owned, award-winning resort offering luxury accommodation options, world-class resort facilities and unforgettable experiences. Consisting of 202 luxury freestanding villas with eight different villa options we are designed to delight every kind of visitor. We have a beautiful central Lagoon pool, an award-winning Adults only pool, multiple food and beverage outlets that include, Breeze Café and Azure Restaurant. Barefoot luxury at every step.

There may be weekend and public holidays work, so we require your flexibility to work across 7 days of the week.

**Your main responsibilities will include**:

- Oversee the rostering of staff enduring sufficient coverage throughout the week and yearly demand cycles
- Produce and maintain the department’s training manuals for new staff
- Deliver on-boarding training for all new team members
- Communicate and maintain your team’s knowledge with the resort’s facilities and product offerings such as packages etc
- Conduct regular team appraisals and provide feedback to maximise performance and team engagement
- Assist the Reservations & Revenue Manager to maintain and monitor multiple distribution channel interfaces ensuring they’re configured correctly and are communicating effectively in real time
- Educate and demonstrate a basic understanding of revenue management fundamentals and how they impact the resorts operations

**Requirements**:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory to be successful, Opera PMS highly desirable
- Previous experience in a Assistant Manager Reservations role within a Travel Agent or 4/5-star hotel/resort environment
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Enthusiastic, engaging, and positive leadership approach
- Strong sales focus and the ability to up-sell the hotels resort features
- Ability to juggle multiple calls and enquiries
- Demonstrated experience working in a high volume inbound call environment
- Ability to commit to a min of 6 months with the flexibility for this to be extended if required
