Job Description

**Your opportunity to join us at Murarrie**

As Quality Assurance Manager based at our Murarrie Primary Processing site, you will be tasked with leading a team of dedicated Supervisors with responsibility for managing quality across the whole site, ensuring all standards are met at the highest level. Our Primary Processing division comprises hard-working team players and problem solvers who are passionate about improving efficiencies and delivering the highest quality product to our customers.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Lead the site’s quality function to ensure effective operation and performance
- Develop, maintain and implement the site Quality Management System including HACCP/ food safety, pathogen control, animal welfare and product quality assurance complying with Inghams’ Minimum Standard Procedures
- Manage the Quality Assurance team using coaching, developing, delegation and recognition to ensure they have the capability to meet performance goals
- Coach people to help them develop a clear understanding of the requirements relating to Maintenance, Animal Welfare, Food Safety and Quality
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements to ensure sanitary processing conditions
- Identify issues and risks through internal, external and third-party audits and develop Quality Improvement Plans for the site
- Manage P&L, seeking approval for out of scope spend
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Food Safety, Animal Welfare and Quality and reporting performance back to the team
- Understand customers’ requirements and key drivers, proactively responding to customer feedback

**Key requirements**:

- Demonstrated experience leading a quality management strategy
- Experience with managing customer relationships, understanding their requirements and educating them on best practices
- Proven experience implementing and monitoring Quality Management Systems
- Inclusive in management style, with the capabilities to create a collaborative and positive working environment
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of food production including food safety
- Ability to coach and develop others, monitor and measure performance and provide direct feedback
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence senior stakeholders internal and external to the organisation
- A tertiary degree in Food Science or a related discipline
