**About the role**:
As Assistant Portfolio Manager, you will have responsibility for assisting in managing one of QIC Infrastructure’s flagship pooled infrastructure funds which caters to many global clients. You will work in collaboration with the origination teams and Portfolio Manager to identify and execute on attractive investment opportunities globally on behalf of the fund and co-investors. You will also assist in driving value across the portfolio and ensuring the fund delivers on its objectives, both from an asset management and portfolio perspective. As a collaborator, you will engage with the investor relations team to expand the client relationships through a successful fundraise and enhance existing relationships, further cementing QIC Infrastructure’s role as trusted partner.
In this newly created role, you will thrive working collaboratively with experienced colleagues, and develop deep relationships with global infrastructure investors. This position will provide the opportunity to gain a broad range of experience, be challenged and developed and make your mark as part of a dynamic growing team.
**About you**:
You will bring established experience in managing or advising on unlisted infrastructure investments, funds or as a principal investor or adviser on unlisted infrastructure especially in portfolio management. Your **s **trong understanding of the infrastructure asset class and the key value drivers and risks of the infrastructure sub-sectors of transport, energy and utilities and social / healthcare are highly regarded.
You will play a leadership role supporting direct reports and junior staff across the infrastructure business. You will bring strong commercial acumen and numerical skills, together with strong written and verbal communication skills. You will also bring high level decision making and problem-solving capabilities and the ability to synthesise complex information into clear and succinct communication, including engagement with the internal Infrastructure Management Committee.
**QIC Infrastructure**:
QIC’s Infrastructure team currently manages over $28 billion of unlisted infrastructure investments on a global basis across three core sectors: Transport, Energy & Utilities and Social / Healthcare. The Infrastructure division also has significant investor commitments from its broad client base to continue to invest and build out its global infrastructure portfolio and continues to actively expand its client base.
QIC Infrastructure currently manages and invests funds on behalf of a small number of large Separately Managed Account (“SMA”) clients and pooled unlisted infrastructure funds which comprise a larger number of investors. A number of these fund investors are also active co-investors, with significant co-investment opportunity being provided through a well established program. QIC Infrastructure’s client base comprises sovereign wealth funds, superannuation funds and pension funds from across the globe.
The team was established in 2006 and has grown to over 70 investment professionals across 5 offices (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, New York and London).
