Junior Commercial Analyst

**About Us**:
**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a motivated early-career Commercial Analyst to join our growing team and support business development and financial modelling efforts during a critical commercialisation phase. Working closely with the CEO, Chief of Staff, and BD Manager, this role will help enhance financial modelling in preparation for Kite Magnetics’ Series A investment round and contribute to market-facing pricing strategy and customer engagement initiatives.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate (within 3 years) of a finance, commerce, or economics degree who is passionate about innovation, comfortable with data and modelling, and eager to grow with a high-impact Australian manufacturing startup.

**Targeting Commencement Before September 30th**

**Reporting to**:Chief of Staff

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Financial Modelling & Strategy Support
- Assist in refining the company’s financial model and supporting data for Series A investment readiness.
- Support pricing strategy development by modelling cost structures and customer ROI scenarios.
- Help analyse unit economics and performance metrics across different manufacturing and licensing models.
- Prepare data and analysis for investor updates, presentations, and due diligence.

2. Business Development Support
- Conduct market research and support opportunity qualification in target sectors (e.g. transport, defence, renewables).
- Help prepare and refine pitch materials, including customer-specific commercial proposals.
- Track and update sales pipeline data in collaboration with the BD Manager.
- Assist in planning and follow-up for industry events, customer calls, and product demonstrations.

3. Cross-Functional Analysis and Coordination
- Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and BD teams to gather inputs for business modelling.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including investors, advisors, and research partners as needed.
- Contribute to internal dashboards and KPI reporting.

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field (completed within the past 3 years).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel or financial modelling tools.
- Demonstrated interest in commercialising technology or supporting early-stage ventures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisation.
