We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Business Improvement Specialist to join our team at Singleton Council on a temporary basis for a period of 6 months. In this role, you’ll make a real impact on the everyday lives of people within our community by achieving important outcomes for Singleton to grow and flourish.

**THE ROLE**
We are looking for a Business Improvement Specialist to lead and facilitate improvement initiatives that build a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across Council.
You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in business management, commerce, planning, public administration or a related discipline and demonstrated experience in business process modelling, analysis and design and project/program management. With demonstrated ability to champion and implement change at all levels of an organisation and foster a culture of continuous improvement, you will demonstrate a proven ability to lead and influence others towards a common vision and goal. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications as well as presentation skills is also a must.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Driving organisational performance and process improvement through research and analysis.
- Creating and maintaining effective mechanisms to review programs, activities, functions and protocols on a regular basis including overseeing service delivery reviews and other continuous improvement programs.
- Challenging, coaching and guiding the Leadership Team and key stakeholders to maximise opportunities from process improvement initiatives.
- Building capability and understanding of business improvement, the rationale and the principles through knowledge sharing and coaching including providing support to internal customers in use of tools and methodologies.
- Documenting and monitoring business processes, business rules, metrics and standard operating procedures as a result of improvement initiatives.

This position is offered on a temporary basis for a 6 month contract working 35 hours per week.
Remuneration for this position is based on Grade 14 of the salary system which equates to a base salary between $96,381 to $108,416 per annum plus superannuation.
