**Your Role**
As part of our growing Construction team, you will underwrite new and renewal Construction accounts in line with Chubb guidelines, as well as developing business from an allocated panel of brokers within their delegated authority. We're looking for an experienced underwriter, who is highly driven and has excellent relationship management skills to execute on plan and maximise opportunities with these brokers.

**Your Responsibilities**
- **_Achievement of the Personal premium budget _**:

- **_Underwriting _**
Within scope of delegated authority:

- Evaluates and accepts or declines new lines, renewals and endorsements
- Evaluates and makes recommendation for acceptance or declination on risks which exceed authority
- Recommends account trade off decisions
- Assists manager in providing input on profit analysis, premium planning, market and environment analysis, etc.
- Responsible for underwriting results of assigned producers.
- Working within the Construction department, on an assigned broker panel
- Underwriting a Construction portfolio in accordance with Chubb underwriting strategy
- Select new risks and underwrites renewals for assigned book of business and/or for designated speciality classes or market segments
- **_Producer Relations _**
- Be responsible for profit and premium growth of assigned producers (including producer account control and book composition and analysis).
- Visits assigned producers to discuss risks, communicate Chubb’s business appetites, and to produce new business
- Manages relationships with assigned producers
- Responsible for providing supervisor with input on premium planning variance

**Your Skills & Experience**
- Experience in a Construction or Technical Lines Underwriting and Development role with an insurance company
- Understand advanced pricing techniques (retro rating, composition of experience mod, etc.), when to use, how to use, how to sell, etc.
- Understand account servicing costs
- Be familiar with developing marketing plans and handling complex accounts.
- Understand the broker selection and appointment process
- Make recommendations for tailoring coverage and Manu scripting policies
- Ability to operate and perform well in a team environment, coordinating with Claims, Loss Control, other SBU’s and CIS/ P&C management is required
- Have experience in the interpretation and analysis of claims and appropriate deployment of loss control resourcesDisplay excellent collaboration, communication and negotiation skills both internally and externally
