The role
This role fosters collaborative partnerships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies, universities, research institutes, and other potential clients to secure clinical trial contracts. The key element of the role will be to connect the clinical research activities undertaken at universities, research institutes and industry across the state to the broader state-wide clinical trials activities delivered by ORI.
**Your key responsibilities**:
Act as a liaison between the Office of Research and Innovation, academic and industry partners and broader state-wide clinical trials network.
Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential business opportunities in the clinical trials sector.
Identify and engage potential clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries, universities, and research institutes through networking, direct approaches, and attending industry events.
The successful person
**You will have demonstrated**:
Experience in working in the university sector or private sector, preferably within a commercial, academic or health environment.
Sound knowledge of clinical trial processes, regulatory requirements and industry trends or the ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.
Ability to provide high-level advice to stakeholders and researchers to promote understanding of clinical trials and teletrials, enhance clinical trial service offerings, source new business development opportunities, and respond efficiently and effectively to client enquiries.
Proven ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, establish priorities and work as an effective member of a team to successfully contribute to organisational objectives.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to maintain effective relationships.
Proven ability to deliver measurable results in business development, partnerships and other commercial collaborations, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, policies and reporting requirements.
