About the role

As a Risk & Compliance Manager, you will have oversight of and responsibility for ensuring Sunnyfield complies with all legislative requirements and internal risk and compliance policies. The role monitors the implementation of Sunnyfield's Risk Management Framework, Compliance Plan and WHS program to ensure that key service delivery and organisational risks, compliance obligations, WHS matters, initiatives and trends are identified, assessed, managed and reported on.

Responsibilities include:

- Develop and champion a positive risk mitigation and health and safety culture
- Effectively implement loss prevention and recovery strategies for safe services for clients and employees
- Lead and mentor the Risk & Compliance team to ensure that the Risk Management Framework, Compliance Plan and WH&S program are fit for purpose, client and customer led, and consistently and effectively implemented across the organisation
- Undertake trend analysis on incidents, accidents, safety issues and compliance audits outcomes to inform management decision making and recommend actions for improvements.
- Ensure that the compliance systems are fit for purpose (software) with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Engage with QR&C networks across the disability sector regarding risk, regulatory and compliance issues and best-practices.

About you

The success of this role is based on your ability to work with our frontline teams to create an environment were employees are able to deliver quality services and were everyone both clients and employees work within a safe environment. We're after someone that has a good heart, with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of people with disability and have similar values to ours. However, it does help if you have:

- Professional qualification or certifications in risk management/compliance/quality assurance/audit
- 8 years'+ risk and compliance experience in a comparable role or organisation
- Experience in managing a team and influencing stakeholders in a multi-site operation
- Ability to facilitate identification, assessment, management and reporting of key risks
- Ability to interpret compliance obligations and develop appropriate policies and procedures with stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in documenting processes and writing management reports
- Experience and understanding of service delivery within the disability sector or human services sector (preferred)
- Knowledge and understanding of the NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Framework, including the NDIS Practice Standards (preferred)
