**About the Role**
As a Ward Clerk, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient and smooth-running of the ward, reporting directly to the Clinical Services Coordinator. Your primary responsibilities will include general clerical duties, reception services, and assisting with bed management to ensure effective client care. You'll be integral to maintaining ward administration systems, helping the team provide the best possible care to our patients. Your role is crucial in ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the ward run seamlessly, allowing clinicians to focus on what matters most—patient care.
In addition to your clerical duties, you'll also have the opportunity to guide and support less experienced administration staff within the ward. Your advice and support will be invaluable in helping them navigate the ward's administrative functions. **About You**
To excel in this role, we are looking for someone who demonstrates the following qualities and experience:
- **Qualifications & Experience**: Completion of or willingness to undertake relevant studies. Experience in administrative duties, customer service, and working in a healthcare environment is essential.
- **Communication & Teamwork**: Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, relatives, and a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
- **Problem-Solving & Initiative**: Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and adapt quickly to changes. A proactive attitude to developing procedures and managing multiple workloads.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), SUNRISE (preferred), and the ability to work with databases and computerised information systems.
