**About the Role**:
This position provides authoritative advice to clients and team members on all matters relating to administration and management of budgetary and financial resources. A primary contact point for schools and senior Regional clients; high level knowledge and expertise in whole of school resourcing, financial and risk management as well as stakeholder management are key. Working within a high performing team, your strong communication and financial analysis skills will be key.

**To be successful in this role, you will**:

- Deliver a range of specified budgetary and financial services which meet client needs and comply with all relevant legislation and Accounting standards, legal demands and ethical standards.
- Effectively lead the school finance team, providing coaching, mentoring and building capability
- Provide accurate, professional advice and consultancy to departmental clients and senior management on a diverse range of budgetary and financial issues affecting clients.
- Undertake research and critical analysis of contemporary policies and processes that support effective finance functions in schools and the region, contributing to the implementation of these where appropriate.
- Coordinate and provide resource material, training, system design, advice and consultancy services to schools and regions in order for clients to develop financial management capability.
- Undertake analysis of the financial management practices and financial performance of clients to drive improved student outcomes and effective resource management.
- Build and sustain effective networks with colleagues, clients and stakeholders to ensure that knowledge and information is shared and organisational and client outcomes are achieved within determined frameworks and timeframes.
