We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to show case their knowledge of technology, tools, and procedures to manage the successful end-to-end delivery of mid-sized technology initiatives for our Technology team, within in a complex, multi-platform, multi-team technical environment.
You will engage with a global team of 60 which consists of a mix of Engineers, Architects, and Service operation staff. Flexibility is required once a fortnight to attend after hours calls to be able to communicate and attend team/management meetings. If we expect flexibility from our employees be assured, we will provide as much flexibility in return, one of them being that this is a hybrid working role.

As the Technical Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for identifying scope, engaging stakeholders in gathering requirements, determining key milestones, creating, and managing the delivery schedule, negotiating with technology managers and other key stakeholders for resources, and negotiating budget cost as per forecasts.
Your duty as the Technical Delivery Manager is to liaise with other teams building a good relationship with your CS Engineering peers, Global Development teams, Architecture, and Service Operations to coordinate activities. Responsibility starts from early engagement (feasibility and estimates) to the impact analysis, and introduction of new or revised systems or processes. Great organisational skills are essential, the ability to prioritise tasks by ensuring you have a good scope and understanding of the initiative outcomes making sure it will meet the needs of the business and technology.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Project management - determining the project scope and being hands on in ensuring the requirements are gathered and agreed on.
- Gaining Stakeholder approval and buy in
- Communicating to Stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the project schedule is agreed to, monitored, and controlled throughout the project lifecycle
- Managing the overall schedule to ensure work is assigned to appropriate resources and completed on time
- Identifying, tracking, managing, and resolving project issues
- Proactively disseminating project information to all stakeholders & determining the quality criteria for the deliverables
- Having the discipline and general management skills to make sure that people follow through on commitments
- Setting reasonable, challenging, and clear expectations for people, and holding them accountable for meeting the expectations. This includes providing good performance feedback to team members
- Team building skills so that the people work together well and feel motivated to work. The larger the team and the longer the project, the more important it is to have good team-building skills.
- Proactive verbal and written communication skills, including good, active listening skills.
- Conduct positive negotiations and seek common ground.
- Works collaboratively & build credibility with senior business partners and technology leaders to shape new services and processes spanning business and regional boundaries.
- Manage operational risks, technical debt, and audit findings, ensuring all IT governance and business processes are adhered to.
**What will you bring to the role?**
It is essential that you have previously set clear targets and responsibilities ensuring commitments are met and progress communicated. To be successful in this role you need to build strong partnerships with stakeholders and teams, be proactive and tenacious and proactively able to make tough decisions and good at detecting issues and articulating a plan to move forward. Without a doubt you need to have strong communication, probing and negotiation skills including the ability to articulate problems for technical and non-technical personnel. You are a strategic thinker that articulates what must be done now and what can be improved later. You have led meetings (for example workshops, document reviews) for all levels of an organization. It is necessary you have excellent documentation and communication skills to engage with our customers.
**Key skills required include**:
- Experienced project manager or business analyst involving technology projects
- Excellent organisation skills - organising work and resources, planning, setting priorities, delegating effectively, timely monitoring and performance management.
- Experience of stakeholder management - building confidence, setting expectations and meeting commitments to increase customer satisfaction.
