Automation Test Lead

**About the role**
As the Automation Test Lead, you will be managing a team of automation testers in Australia and the Philippines to deliver high quality automation frameworks that will support 1-Stop’s web and mobile based products. You will be working with the Product teams to deliver quality products that have passed stringent testing criteria. You will be a critical part of the 1-Stop strategy to continue our path of transforming 1-Stop from a functional testing capability to an automated testing capability.

You will guide the automation testers to plan, design, build, operate and maintain automated testing frameworks that will enable 1-Stop to be competitive in the market. Champion best practices and drive improvements to ensure the test automation frameworks run at optimal levels. Build the automation testing capability to pave the way for existing functional testers to gradually adopt and transition to test automation. Provide visibility and transparency in test automation progress by providing test automation coverage and traceability reports on a regular basis.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

- Develop and standardise the E2E/UI/API/Web and Mobile Test Automation Strategies for 1-Stop products so that automated testers are developing test scripts consistently across product and incorporating those tests into the CI/CD pipeline and Test Management Tool.
- Baseline existing test automation levels and provide automation coverage burndown reports on a regular basis.
- Coach and mentor team members to ensure a high-performance culture by providing empowerment, support, clear direction, recognition, and staff development.
- Clear ownership of the test automation component of the in-flight project portfolio in line with the priorities set by 1-Stop’s senior leadership team.
- Guidance and mentoring to testing team members in the methods and techniques of software testing with focus on test automation and best practices.
- Provide best practice assessment of the ‘current’ level of existing test automation methods/processes/standardisation in use at 1-Stop; followed by continual design/tailoring, consultation, implementation and standardisation of those methods and techniques across all future work.
- Align the overall test automation strategy with the company’s vision and direction for its products.
- Inform and guide project managers at early project planning stages to ascertain the extent of automated functional, performance, stress and volume testing tests required for each release.

**About you**
You will bring the following experience to the role:

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or Physical Science/Maths.
- Experience in automated testing tools, frameworks, and processes.
- Experience as a Test Lead/Test Manager/Senior Test Consultant.
- 8-10 years+ overall IT experience.
- Experience with automated and stress testing tools.
- Demonstrated experience in incorporating automated tests into the automated release process.
- Demonstrable ability to lead, motivate, empower, and engage staff.
- Strong experience and knowledge of Project tools (JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr).
- Background must include functional as well as performance stress and volume (PSV) testing.
- Either management of or hands on skills in building test maturity automation testing.
- A critical thinker with proven skills in innovation and solution-focused mindset.
