**About the role**
The newly formed Transformation Office is responsible for facilitating and maturing continuous improvement capability at the City by guiding and providing expert advice and partnering to, identify, develop and implement new and different ways of working via people, processes and systems. This in turn prepares the organisation to meet changing needs and demands of our customers and community.
As the Manager, Change, you will report to the Chief Transformation Officer and will ensure the organisation’s strategic projects (change initiatives) meet the objectives ensuring a uniform approach to change management, building and maturing change capability at the City. You will formulate and facilitate storytelling about strategic change across the organisation to enable people to understand and buy in to the change journey.
The role will be accountable to lead the team in establishing and managing a methodology, that ensures effective change impact analysis, assessing and managing of key stakeholders, developing, and implementing effective communication plans, and creating and delivering training and engagement.
The role will be responsible for creating and implementing change management strategies to increase benefit realisation, value creation, ROI to support achieving results and outcomes across the operating model, organisation design, process, and change
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and deploy a structured change management framework, methodology, processes and tools to create strategies to drive and facilitate successful strategies to uplift organisations' way of approaching, implementing and adopting of change initiatives.
- Lead the change management activities to enable business units and stakeholders to plan, schedule, manage and direct the execution of change initiatives fully integrated into project plans.
- Develop strategic change communications strategies and facilitate storytelling across the organisation to generate understanding of the change, why its occurring, and its linkage to the strategic direction of the organisation and other concurrent programs of work.
- Manage the organisation’s overall change portfolio of transformation and business as usual activities with strong stakeholder engagement strategies to actively understand the change needs in the business, identify change readiness, resistance, and risks.
- Actively engage with the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO), Strategy Commercials and partnerships (SC&P) and various parts of the business to understand, prioritise and resource the change needs and maintain a pipeline of work that is aligned to the City’s strategic priorities.
- Conduct change impact analyses, engage, and coach people leaders to achieve successful change implementation and adoption.
- Oversee the change reports, briefings and presentations developed to support and influence stakeholders to achieve project objectives and support successful transition for teams and individuals.
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant Tertiary Qualification and extensive change management and leadership experience in a similar position.
Change Management certification in a methodology such as PROSCI (and ADKAR Change Model), Change First, or similar program.
Essential Experience:
- Experience identifying, quantifying and realising the benefits of change programs
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships and multiple diverse initiatives to address stakeholder responses to change
- Advanced knowledge of project management principles, methodologies and tools, particularly those that align with and enhance change management practice
