**Urban Design Draftsperson**

Are you inspired by working on projects that will one day become places where communities prosper and thrive?

We are seeking a highly motivated draftsperson to work on varied and exciting planning and urban design projects using the MicroStation CAD software platform.

Our urban design and drafting team work collaboratively with our planners to produce graphics, plans, diagrams, and visualisations that are accurate, engaging, and contemporary. Our projects include some of WA’s major developments and communities.

**Are you our new draftee?**
- Experience with CAD software, and a proven ability to quickly learn new software
- A high attention to detail
- Happy working in small teams and excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated to develop new skills and achieve great outcomes for clients
- Ability to manage your time well to achieve competing client deadlines, and stay calm under pressure
- Experience (and desire to learn more) with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop primarily)
- A background working in the planning and urban design areas
- A relevant qualification and/or considerable work experience that includes a significant component of drafting (town planning, landscape, architecture, cartography)
- Focused on good design outcomes and able to communicate effectively using visual representations
- Experience in 3D modelling software to create visualisations
- Experience in the preparation of illustrations, including hand drawing
- Ability to interpret and manage data from a variety of sources and disciplines, including surveying, engineering, environmental, landscaping, and architecture
- Knowledge of graphic design principles
- An IT wiz - that is you can easily use a range of computer programs like Microsoft 365, SketchUp, GIS mapping and more
- Graduates and those new to drafting will be considered, and in-depth training will be provided. Salary will be proportionate with experience._
