About the Role

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the local implementation of the HSWMS to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
Support injury management, including risk assessments, incident prevention, and the coordination of rehabilitation for ill or injured employees.
Maintain connection with Health and Safety Advisors/Representatives and contribute to HS&W initiatives.
Organize and compile data for internal and external audits, ensuring records are accurate and accessible for review.
Monitor and report on workplace incidents using MyHR Workplace Health and Safety system and escalate findings as needed.
Coordinate and arrange HS&W training to raise awareness and foster a positive safety culture across the workplace.
Promote a psychologically and physically safe environment with a focus on employee wellbeing and education.
Provide support in managing serious incidents, including potentially traumatic events.
Assist with fire safety responsibilities and maintain records related to emergency and evacuation procedures.
Draft correspondence and reports related to HS&W initiatives and ensure clear communication.

Empathy and supportiveness: Ability to handle sensitive situations involving staff wellbeing and injury management with care and professionalism.
