AWX Executive is seeking a Safety Advisor with prior construction experience to join our client who is a leader in steel framed construction. This is a critical role that will see you play an integral part within a business that is reaping the rewards of an extensive pipeline of projects.

This is primarily an office based role with requirements for overnight travel to projects as needed.

**Our client**:
**Key Accountabilities**:

- Assist the project manager/s in reviewing the HSEQ Plan.
- Implement and maintain the company's HSEQ Management System on Project and review HSEQ Plan to maintain compliance.
- Conduct sub-contractor audits and SWMS reviews in consultation with the Project team
- Monitor and update on a regular basis the Projects Risk Assessments in consultation with the Project Team and be involved in incorporating newly identified risks into the relevant company and/or contractor’s Safe Work Method Statements.
- Perform site safety inspections /walks to ensure that meet the requirements of the company's HSEQ Management System, Project Safety Plan and WHS legislation, regulation, standards, and codes.
- Assist in the development of Daily Pre-start meetings
- Provide necessary on-site safety training.
- Assist in the development of Toolbox talks on site and monitor completion and record keeping.
- Delivery of Safety Topics at Toolbox Meetings.
- Carry out company injury management requirements on the site when an injury occurs.

**Qualifications and Experience;**
- Minimum Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
- Minimum 5 years of experience within the Construction Industry (Essential)
- Ability to drive and influence a positive safety culture on site.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build good relationships internally as well as externally at all levels.
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Ability work within a team and contribute positively to the work environment.
- Sound knowledge of the relevant Legislation and Codes of Practice
- Good level of computer literacy - Word packages
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- Exposure to Safety Champion System (desirable)
