**About the role**

This key role is aligned to the delivery of allied health assistant interventions as part of a bed based Social Work service. You will be responsible in assisting Social workers with their bed based patients in the provision of best practice patient care as well as non-clinical duties that support the efficient operation of a busy service environment. This is a great opportunity to build and develop your skills as a Grade 2 AHA.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance is required (academic transcript of completion required) if applicable or currently undertaking undergraduate Social Work studies 3rd year or 4th year
- Experience within an bed based hospital stream is desirable
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and communication both written and oral
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent time management and organisational skill

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
