We're now looking for a talented **Health & Safety Advisor** to join our **Safety** **Team** based in the **Eastern** and **Western suburbs**.
Reporting to our National Safety Manager, the role is fundamental in ensuring the Porter Davis Homes Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Management System, associated programs and continuous improvement strategies are implemented across the organisation.
This role requires 2 days on the road visiting/assessing sites, 1 day in the office for team collaboration and the remaining days working from home.
**Key areas of responsibility include**:
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the implementation of the injury management and RTW program.
- Undertake regular workplace visits and conduct site inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of the WHS risk management program.
- Provide timely and effective advice to internal and external stakeholders on safety matters.
- Work with all Leaders and teams to build safety awareness, skills, knowledge, competence and sustainability.
- Coach, guide and assist Leaders and Teams with new WHS initiatives as required.
- Maintain and deliver the WHS induction program to internal and external stakeholders.
- Implement the Porter Davis Homes health and safety management system (HSMS) and WHS plans across Victoria.
- Drive continuous improvement following our WHS strategy and operational action plans across workplaces and business functions.
- Assist all Leaders and Teams to implement, monitor, review and update effective risk control measures including safe work procedures, risk assessments, SWMS etc.
**Who we’re looking for**:
A self-motivated individual with a genuine commitment to improving WHS performance across the organisation, possessing the following skills:
- Tertiary qualifications in OHS/WHS with a minimum of 5+ years in a safety role
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite with high-level professional writing skills.
- A high degree of technical proficiency in the development and implementation of health and safety processes, protocols, and documentation.
- The capacity to work in a mobile, fast-paced environment across multiple workplaces.
- The ability to develop and maintain effective, respectful and collaborative internal/external Stakeholder relations.
- The ability to deliver on established targets and key performance indicators to inform and continually improve effective risk management practices.
- Experience in undertaking root cause analysis or tap root investigations, audits/reviews; and the ability to develop and effectively implement corrective actions.
- Operational WHS experience in the Construction Industry or related industries such as utilities, civil, etc. (not essential but desirable).
- Experience in the development and delivery of WHS training at the Leadership and Team level.
