**The role**
This Government Department is seeking an experienced Policy Analyst to join the team on a contract basis. You will be responsible for collating and analysing data, interpreting findings and making informed recommendations on policy implications.

**Accountabilities**
- Prepare high quality briefings, presentations and reports based on analysis of key data and trends
- Review data sources for quality and make recommendations for any improvements to data collection needed for an effective performance monitoring framework
- Initiate, maintain and manage effective working relationships with key stakeholders
- Attend working groups and forums to facilitate information exchange and collaborative research projects related to the evaluation and monitoring of the planning system

**Required**
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation of high-quality briefings and reports
- Demonstrated capacity to undertake analysis and reporting activities
- An understanding of the land use planning system in Victoria is desirable
- Experience in public sector
