An exciting and unique opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Corporate Governance Branch as Adviser, Corporate Governance in the Corporate Performance and Reporting team at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
The Corporate Governance branch undertakes a range of organisational projects to support DPC in achieving governance requirements, including but not limited to, reporting departmental performance measures, reports and plans.
As the Adviser, Corporate Governance, you will actively contribute to and facilitate meaningful reporting on the department's performance to Parliament, the Premier, portfolio Ministers and senior executives, which is critical to public sector transparency and accountability.
In this role you will represent Corporate Governance within the department and beyond, providing advice and support for DPC's budget submissions and contributions to the Budget Papers, advise on governance obligations between DPC and its portfolio entities, departmental performance reporting, coordinating DPC's annual report and corporate plans, and supporting submissions and attendance at PAEC hearings.
This position offers the opportunity to provide key advisory and coordination support for the department's budget and performance reporting activities and to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
About you
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the processes, policies and procedures of government and of public sector governance.
- Previous experience with Victoria's financial management and performance reporting and public sector governance frameworks.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong planning and organising skills, together with a high level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with a diverse stakeholder group.
