About the role
The purpose of the Communications Officer role is coordinate strategic internal and external communication, including for the purposes of research translation, under the direction of Queensland Centre Mental Health Research's (QCMHR) Assistant Director
About you
- Ability to contribute to and implement media and communication strategies as well as produce a range of marketing and communication materials.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to undertake research, liaise with key stakeholders, write and edit media releases, speeches, reports, website content, advertisements, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, newsletters and fact sheets. High quality editing skills across all communication is required.
- Ability to monitor and analyse marketing and public relations activities and contribute to evaluation of campaigns and initiatives.
- Knowledge of health issues and strategies for community engagement using various forms of media and communication planning tools.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently, make decisions, solve problems, establish work priorities and meet deadlines in line with organisational goals and requirements

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
