**Opportunity**
Two year day rate contract (12m +12m) with opportunity to extend which can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Geelong. Flexible work arrangements work from office and work from home. Federal Government Agency.
**Role**
The position will provide operational and administrative support to the Monitoring, Analytics and Reporting Specialists (MARS) and Financial Stability Branch which sits within the Analytics, Data and Actuarial Branch. You may also undertake some research and analysis.
- Extracting, cleansing, and preparing of data from multiple sources and the data warehouse
- Updating and replication of regular performance monitoring
- Use statistical and mathematical modelling techniques including actuarial monitoring and analysis, data tabulations, projects and cost benefit analysis
- Undertaking ad-hoc modelling requests and reporting
**Requirements**:
- Relevant quantitative degree in Actuarial studies, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Data Science or related field
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, SAS, SQL, R, Python, Shiny
- Experience working with large datasets
- Knowledge of statistical modelling techniques and methods
- Australian Citizenship is required for this federal Agency.
