**About Us**

Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible, and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.

**About the Role**

This critical leadership role is responsible for overseeing all court operations, staff management, and service delivery within a complex judicial environment. As Operations Manager, you will ensure efficient, high-quality services across registry and quasi-judicial functions, while driving continuous improvement and strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with relevant Acts, rules, and regulations and provide authoritative advice to the judiciary and court users. This position also supports court security and facility maintenance and requires a confident leader with strong operational oversight and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Key Accountabilities
- Lead the daily operations of the court registry and ensure compliance with court practices and policies.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team, providing direction, coaching, and ongoing performance support.
- Oversee court facilities, ensuring safety, functionality, and adherence to maintenance protocols.
- Provide authoritative advice to key stakeholders including the Judiciary, legal professionals, and the public.
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams, external agencies, and community organisations.
- Contribute to strategic planning, reform, and the implementation of improved service models.

**About You**
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience in leading, motivating and developing staff
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures applicable to Victorian Courts and Tribunals
- High integrity, resilience, and a collaborative leadership style
- Certificate IV in Government (Court Services) or equivalent (desirable).
