**About the Role** This role is a 12 month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension.**
We are looking for a Reconciliation Officer to join our Group Finance Division. Responsible for competing reconciliations across General Ledger, suspense accounts, Group payment clearing streams, BOQ branch operations and various workstreams across the Groups multiple brands. Additionally, you will support the relevant business units in the management of aged exception items.
- Accurately reconcile Clearing, Bank & Suspense Accounts to ensure accurate data has been processed to customer accounts and to the GL.
- Ensure correct settlement of funds in files to/from Cuscal/BOQ.
- Investigate exceptions to determine the cause and find solutions to resolving.
- Identify and Report any systeM/File issues that impact customers or the Bank to the Finance Reconciliation’s Manager or Senior Reconciliations Officer.
- Prepare Journals for Settlement of Funds via Cuscal/BOQ to the appropriate Clearing account.
- Prepare Daily Cash Transfers of reconciled Trust Clearing transactions to be moved to/from ME/BOQ who settles on the Trusts behalf ie CS1, CS2, Mastercard, BPAY, NPP etc
- Liaise with the Business for any transactional enquiries providing technical expertise around the flow of transactions and assisting with solving any difficult issues by providing advice taking into consideration the impacts to customers and the GL.
- Train other Reconciliation’s Officers as required and on reconciliation rotations.
- Prepare Manual Journals to update the GL for various P&L entries.
**About you**
- Experienced in high volume Reconciliation’s experience
- Expertise in using Reconciliation systems and strong understanding of Banking Operations and systems. A solid understanding of the flow of data used in Reconciliations, how it impacts the GL and the Banks customers.
- Curious mindset with a view to implement continuous improvement
- Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities
