**About the Opportunity**
An exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time Front Office Receptionist, to join our rooms division team in our luxurious 5 star resort. Based at the front office reception desk, you will welcome guests with a warm and friendly smile and to deliver exceptional customer service.
Full availability and flexibility is required to work a rotating roster on various shifts between 7am-11pm, inclusive of evenings, weekends & public holidays. Eg shift times may be 7am-3pm & 3pm-11pm.
**This could be just the right role for you?**
In this customer service facing role, you'll assist guests with their bookings, stay and reservations needs from the moment they arrive and to when they leave. Reporting to the Duty Manager, your key responsibilities for the role include:
- Facilitate guest check ins & check outs and provide information to guests about accommodation, rates and amenities
- Complete pre-arrival checks, follow up late arrivals or cancellations-
- Maximize accommodation bookings by upselling/upgrading, cross sell & upsell products & services- Assist with lobby shop sales, process payments, maintain records and accurately collect, receipt, and record all monies- Process reservations information with accuracy, monitor room blockings, report pick up, VIP & upgrade accommodation
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure guests needs are met
**What you'll need to be successful**- Full availability and flexible to work shifts on a rotating roster between 7am-11pm including evenings, weekends & public holidays- Experience in customer facing front office reception role in 4-5 star hotel/resort- PMS experience, Opera preferred- A friendly professional manner with a positive attitude and can work well in a team environment-
- Attention to detail, efficient time management skills and ability to problem solve- Hold or be eligible to obtain a Qld Working with Children Check Blue Card- Excellent personal presentation
