**About the Role**
- We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to drive the successful execution of **major commercial workplace projects** within our **Property & Workplace (P&W)** function. This role is pivotal in delivering strategic business outcomes, ensuring alignment with global standards, and mentoring project leads to build a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:
**Leadership**
- Lead the P&W major projects practice, including operating model, process design, and governance.
- Manage internal and external project teams, ensuring alignment with BHP’s standards.
- Oversee support partners to ensure delivery of agreed outcomes.

**Strategy**
- Define and implement strategies for real estate project identification, feasibility, and execution.
- Maintain a 5-year major projects roadmap aligned with long-term business planning.
- Contribute to global P&W strategy and business planning.
- Prepare and present business cases for major capital investments.

**Project Delivery**
- Oversee resource planning and reporting across all major projects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to project leads.
- Manage project risks, ensuring compliance with HSE and regulatory standards.
- Ensure delivery within approved scope, budget, and timelines.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify improvement opportunities and drive innovation.
- Support global planning and performance reporting for major projects.

**Stakeholder Engagement**
- Engage with Investment Committees and senior leaders on project planning and delivery.
- Lead project steering committees and collaborate across the P&W team.
- Build strong relationships with internal partners including Finance, Human Resources, Risk, HSE, and Technology.

**Compliance**
- Uphold the BHP Charter, Our Requirements, and Code of Business Conduct.

**About You**
- You’ll bring a strong track record in leading complex, multi-region projects and a passion for delivering impactful outcomes. Key qualifications and experience include:

- Proven experience managing major projects across multiple regions with broad understanding of property and facilities management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management or Business Administration.
- Strong financial planning and budget management skills.
- Experience implementing best-practice project delivery methodologies.
- Skilled in change and communication management across diverse stakeholders.

Desirable Skills
- Design Thinking.
- Contract Management.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and change management capabilities.

**Location**
- The role can be based in Australia corporate offices in **Brisbane**, **Perth** or **Adelaide.**
You will be working on Monday to Friday roster, required to work three days from the office and up to two days working from home. One of the office-based days is required to be a Monday or Friday.
