Inbound Digital Marketing Manager

As the Inbound Digital Marketing Manager will execute and manage the communication flow of targeted multi-channel digital communications through Metcash’s new Digital Marketing platform.
This role will ensure the delivery of personalised digital marketing communications to influence shopper choice and increase retail sales and provide business critical insights into shopper behaviour and response to marketing and promotion activity. This role will also support the development of additional income streams and increase Metcash sales though the provision of advertising touchpoints and product/promotion targeting.
What you’ll do
- Oversee all elements of targeted paid media and SEM - including program design, build, pre-deployment testing/QA and review.
- Partner with business stakeholders to develop targeting strategies based on data analysis and shopper insights from previous deployments, response behaviours and A/B tests.
- Develop and enforce best practice digital communications guidelines including creative, content and frequency to optimize long term shopper engagement rates, conversion and value growth.
- Derive actionable insights from digital performance data and champion the use of these insights across the wider business to support marketing, promotions and other relevant decision making.
- Develop team and campaign performance KPIs in partnership with Shopper Engagement Team peers and business stakeholders across the Marketing, Promotions and Merchandise teams. Produce regular KPI reporting and actively contribute towards periodic business performance reviews to drive the business planning process.
- Develop a performance improvement culture and implement on-going test and learn strategies to improve campaign performance through multivariate testing, retargeting, UX-led design and return on investment measurement.
- Work with the wider Shopper Engagement team and business stakeholders to ensure a cohesive message and experience throughout the shoppers’ path to purchase, grow the contactable subscriber base and develop & refine shopper communication strategy.
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrated experience hands on paid and social media campaigns across variety of channels
- Expert understanding of success metrics, analysis and reporting toolkits
- Working knowledge of CRM systems, Doubleclick and Google Data studio
- Experience in development and production of consumer facing digital marketing communications.
