Manager, Data Migrations

**Overview**

The role requires expertise in guiding and mentoring team members using your knowledge of data technologies, industry standards and management techniques. You will be working in a complex, fast paced environment where the ability to manage high performing teams, meet deadlines, prioritise several tasks concurrent and exceed customer expectations is paramount

**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
- Developing Data Migration strategies derived from organisational strategies.
- Ensure performance, capacity and capability of a high performing team of data migration professionals.
- Drive a program of continuous improvement across the Data Migration and ETL processes.
- Build and maintain a high performing team through high performance leadership, role modelling the Link values and employee engagement practices
- Proactively identifying training and knowledge gaps with the team and address learning needs
- Ensure product and technical knowledge is developed within the team, including embedding best practice methodologies around Data Migration team and Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes
- Manage the professional delivery of business data migration services.
- Establish visibility to stakeholders of requirements and progress from initiation to completion, including estimating and scheduling
- Develop, document and perform test procedures and make recommendations to ensure high quality reconciliation and business outcomes.
- Recommend, analyse, design and implement changes and updates to ETL software.
- Ensure the team follows documented Information Security policies and principles.
- Own and manage the closure of any identified Risk and Audit items for the Data Migration team.

**Required Experience**
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Experience in facilitating the delivery of successful Data Migration initiatives and solutions, across complex environments.
- Established understanding of Share Registry business principles, both listed and unlisted or significant exposure and the financial Services industry as a whole.
- Strong Stakeholder management experience, both internal and external.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to communicate to staff across all levels within the organisation.
- Solid understanding of business needs and customer focus beyond the technical/technology aspects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and approach.
- Solid Technical background and experience in the Data Migration landscape including
- Previous experience in any or all of the following technologies:

- Oracle and SQL
- Informatica
- WebFocus
