**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Due to ongoing growth and organisation changes we are now seeking an experienced LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR to lead our dispatch team in our Brisbane Head Office.

**Core responsibilities**:

- Ensure excellence in customer service is provided for our clients from the dispatch window
- Provide supervision and direction to the Dispatch team
- Action, Monitor and make improvements to items on the Dispatch Daily Tasks workflow planner
- Manage all transport related matters including being the key point of escalation for customer enquiries relating to transport (0-1hr daily)
- Allocate the freight providers for local deliveries. Improve the freight allocation process to decrease workload on sales and improve the efficiency of the freight booking process
- Complete daily bay checks to ensure all delivered orders are recorded and invoiced
- Monitor and review Transfer Requests to minimise transportation costs
- Develop Service Level Agreements for freight partners
- Continuously monitor, record and review transport activities and identify areas for improvement with a focus on service and cost saving
- Review all transport invoices and approve for payment
- Follow up payments for orders with an outstanding balance that are scheduled to dispatch next day
- Monitor the flow of transportation activities on site and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement customer delivery notification system

**ABOUT YOU**
- Previous leadership experience of 2+ years supervising a small team
- Effective time management skills and ability to continuously review and prioritise tasks
- You’re customer service, safety focused and results driven, you are confident and pleasant in interacting with customers and team members across the business.
- You're a collaborative leader who loves to get your hands dirty alongside the team and lead by example
- Demonstrates a great attitude: to thrive in the role you will need to radiate positivity and be able to tackle any challenges head on with an optimistic leadership style.
- Has a strong work ethic: the hands-on nature of the role requires someone who is willing to lead from the front and support the team in a fluid and fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience/skills in a Dispatch/Transport/Warehouse environment
- Similar experience within the transport industry or managing transport suppliers
- Proven ability to analyse information, identify trends and make effective decisions
- Be a technological innovator with proven experience improving logístical systems
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal/ external contacts of all levels at all times
- Experience utilising ERP (preferably SAP) & MS Excel
- Experience with WMS/TMS systems
- Valid Forklift license

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Christmas bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Brisbane, QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Dispatch or logistics: 2 years (preferred)
