Warehousing and Parts Coordinator

JAXAM are now currently recruiting for a Warehouse and Parts Coordinator to join our supply chain team at Cardiff in NSW. This position is accountable for the provision of purchasing and material requirements (MRP), activities, controls, services and strategy in relation to the Underground Coal Services (UCS) business including rotables and the maintenance of appropriate stock levels to meet sales and equipment maintenance requirements. **Duties may include (but are not limited to)** - Ensure integrity of MRP inputs and outputs - Ensure timely purchase order expediting - Routinely communicate with preferred and key suppliers across business units to address any performance or supply shortfalls - Recommend new suppliers based on cost, quality or lead time advantage as identified - Regularly liaise with workshop operations and warehouses in respect of supply and demand planning - Provide guidance of forward demand changes to the Inventory Controller and recommend safety stock adjustments by business unit - Work with UCS Supply Chain to reduce held inventory value through sales, safety stocking strategies and supply agreements - Process purchase order requisitions efficiently and accurately - Source products via Request for Quote - Identify opportunities for repeat purchases to be catalogued and ordered via inventory - Identify opportunities for costs savings through strategic sourcing and recommend to your Manager and Procurement - Execute all warehouse tasks at Jaxam **About you**: - Possess previous experience and work history from within a stores or procurement environment (mining preferred) - Current High Risk Work Forklift Ticket (LF) - Desirable - Previous experience with JD Edwards (Oracle) or a similar large-scale system (e.g. SAP) - Basic to Intermediate MS Office Suite skills - Perform taskings independently and within a team environment, - Possess a "can do" attitude along with a positive outlook and approach to safety issues. - Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and functional assessment including drug & alcohol screening.
