Process Designer

About the Role

Team Global Express (TGE) are seeking the support of a high calibre Process Designer on a 12 month fixed term contract. As our Process Designer you will be working on a business transformation project that aims to improve operational processes, uplift internal controls and drive operational efficiencies and productivity. Working with the project team, in conjunction with business SME’s, this role will lead to the design and delivery of operational processes which meet the business needs of Global Express, whilst ensuring an appropriate level of internal controls and policies are in place. This role is responsible for the documentation, analysis of current processes and re-engineering of new processes to ensure “best in class” process design to optimise business performance, outcomes and achieve cost efficiency objectives.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and execution of the project deliverables
- Document and analyse the effectiveness of current processes to develop strategies to improve efficiencies
- Redesign end to end business processes to improve business operational efficiency and productivity
- Determine critical root cause analysis to drive strategic change to improve the current process environment
- Ensure full integration of all processes and linkage to best practice
- Lead the business design process to achieve business and project objectives
- Develop process documentation and project plans
- Create flowcharts, process maps and diagrams
- Lead cross-functional activities and working sessions during project’s design and implementation phases
- Design and prepare documentation, training materials, and communication supporting the new processes and deliver training to impacted business

About You

This could be the perfect role for you. As a self-starter you will enjoy critically looking for and solving any problems areas and advising what you would do to redesign it. You will have a strong understanding of business transformation and working within an agile environment. Your hands on experience in design, management and delivery of projects will hold you in good stead.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience would be ideal but not mandatory
- In depth understanding of a continuous improvement methodology such as Lean Six Sigma Methodology, Agile or Human Centered Design will be advantageous
- Extensive Business Process Re-engineering experience
- Experience working in an agile environment, preferably across operational or service areas
- Hands on experience in design, management and delivery of projects involving business transformation
- Working experience embedding change within a complex business environment
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint if you also have ARIS or another resource management tools that would be ideal
