**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Processing and Logistics team at our **Acacia Ridge** Manufacturing facility as a **Logistics Supervisor**. Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, you will lead a team of 10 team members working with the manufacturing team to deliver exceptional outcomes for our QLD Customers.

In this fast-paced site that handles over 500,000 tonnes of steel per year, you will have direct impact on the delivery performance of BlueScope Australian Steel Products.

Supervising a high performing team, you will be focused on delivering exceptional service, developing strong working relationships with all internal/external stakeholders and championing a safety culture, including leading safety and productivity improvement projects. You will be required to coordinate with freight planning teams as well as transport carriers to ensure timely dispatch of customer orders.

**What will you do?**

Working with a supportive team, provide high levels of service to our customers and operations, you will:

- lead the shift operations team to achieve business targets and ensure operations are within standards, having regard for safety, environment, quality and costs
- plan, coordinate and control the dispatch and goods movement of material
- ensure that team members are working collaboratively to drive improvement of all logistics and operational processes
- work closely with our internal stakeholders including our transport, production and customer service teams to coordinate the most efficient and cost-effective delivery schedules for our customers
- forge strong relationships with suppliers, customers and other key stakeholders
- identify improvement opportunities and foster a continuous improvement environment

- previous involvement in an operational role and /or logistics environment
- effective work planning and operational project management skills
- demonstrated ability to meet operational requirements in accordance with standards and policy across technical, scheduling and people demands including managing labour hire resources
- interpersonal skills, effective communications, coaching, influencing skills and decision-making are required and can be developed in the role
- a customer-centric approach with a strong commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience
- excellent analytical skills with strong capability to learn new systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel)
- a commitment to your own safety and wellbeing while caring for others
