We're looking for the best suited applicant for the role. **This position requires an applicant who**:
- Understands the organisation's purpose and takes time to learn policies, regulations and standard operating procedures. Thinks and plans ahead, and informs supervisor of potential issues that may impact on colleagues or work tasks.
- Uses a range of tools and techniques to manage operational projects and achieve outcomes and deadlines. Analyses problems and develops logical options and solutions to address issues. Performs under limited direction from supervisor and copes effectively with changes in circumstances.
- Builds and sustains relationships with team members, customers and stakeholders. Provides courteous, prompt and professional service to customers. Supports and guides team members in achieving goals especially during busy or difficult working periods.
- Proactively engages with customers to enhance their park experience and ensure compliance. Seeks to understand customer needs and responds through effective use of resources, skills and techniques.
- Contribution to workplace equity and diversity that enriches our culture of innovation, respect and inclusion. Every staff member is expected to role model leadership behaviours. This role requires the Individual contributor leadership capabilities as outlined in the Leadership competencies for Queensland booklet.
There are no mandatory qualifications required to undertake this position, however formal qualifications in relevant field would be highly regarded. Whilst not mandatory it is desirable that the successful applicant already holds one or more of the following accreditations and / or certificates. Training will be provided by the Department to the successful applicant in order to attain the required accreditations / certificates.
- Chainsaw operator's accreditation (Level 1 or 2 certificate)
- Senior First Aid certificate
- Firefighting Operations (Fire Crew) Level 1 certificate
- Departmental Law Enforcement accreditation (Level 1)
- LR Light rigid, MR Medium rigid Licence
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Sciences/ Natural Resource Management. (Certificates/Diplomas/Degrees)
A reasonable degree of physical fitness is required. We are looking for keen, enthusiastic individuals able to work well independently when required, and as part of a team, and who can motivate others through their own performance and work ethic.
