THE COMPANY
Our client was originally established more than 30 years ago in the Southwest and grew organically through referrals and recommendations to become a very successful accounting firm that was later sold to a national firm. The Director recently relocated to Perth with his family and has acquired an accounting practice that he has rebranded. They are slowly evolving to become a reputable and successful firm built on a reputation for delivering sound advice and outstanding service.
Their offices are located in modern, bright offices in stunning West Perth, with a great coffee shop over the road for those in need of a caffeine fix. The team in West Perth are very small, but the plan is to grow the firm slowly and organically. However, they don’t want to make it too big, so you become a number. They are a very family friendly and flexible firm, offering part-time and flexible hours and the opportunity to work from home on the odd day if required.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Client Service Administrator your primary role will be to look after the clients and work with the accountants. This includes the following:
- Job set up.
- Record checklist preparation and checking records.
- Assisting with client queries and missing information.
- Collation of financial statements, tax returns, other documents, and covering letters.
- Invoicing.
- Tax return lodgement and monitoring.
- BAS delivery, signing and lodgements.
- ATO mail and liaison with clients.
- ASIC annual company statements.
- ASIC form 484 change of details and other similar work.
- Assist Accountant’s work with the external SMSF accountants.
The role has the potential to develop towards the following:
- Tax return preparation individuals, investments, and rental properties.
- Client BAS preparation.
- Client bookkeeping on occasions.
- Accountancy work.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL NEED:
- A minimum of 2+ years’ experience working in a similar role.
- Previous experience working for an accounting firm.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Friendly, professional manner
- Ability to liaise with people at all levels.
- Able to work autonomously and within the team.
- Technical knowledge of Internal programs
