**The Opportunity**

We are looking for an experienced Investigator to join our dedicated Investigations team. Our Investigators work autonomously across our national network to respond to complex and serious misconduct, behavioral and relationship matters, conducting high quality workplace investigations to identify root causes to drive continuous improvement and prevention of reoccurrence. Working with our people with a seek to understand attitude, you will be required to liaise directly with leaders in the coordination of inquiries, interview of complainants, witnesses and respondents, and draft professional clear and concise reports on the outcome of those inquiries.

With child and team member safety at the forefront of everything we do, you will often undertake investigations into situations involving children and our team members. Experience of Reportable Conduct Schemes would be beneficial but not essential. As a skilled Investigator, you may have a background in a variety of disciplines such as Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Workplace Health and Safety or Child Safety.

**Your day-to-day**

No two days are the same; this role sees a diversity of matters to add depth and breadth to your career.
- Conducting thorough objective investigations, utilising due process and detailed documentation, into child safety incidents or allegations, compliance breaches, incidents under the Reportable Conduct Scheme, Whistleblower complaints, G8 Education policies and procedures and other complaint, allegations or issues as part of G8’s Investigation Framework.
- Collection of data captured throughout the investigation process to identify exceptions, trends, and key risk indicators.
- Prepare comprehensive reports providing clear and concise findings for decision makers.
- Internal and external management of all parties involves, whilst maintaining a strong and reputable relationship to achieve results.
- Identifying and communicating improvement opportunities, identified through the investigation process, contributing to continuous improvement.
- Positively influence G8 Education’s culture to ensure investigations are conducted in a fair and just manner with investigation outcomes clearly focused on prevention of recurrence.

- Demonstrated strong investigative skills and experience, capable of analysing wide-ranging documents, policies and data.
- Highly developed report writing skills with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated strong communication and relationship management skills, capable of interviewing stakeholders, and negotiating highly sensitive and complex matters.
- Demonstrated experience in providing written and oral advice to senior stakeholders that are of a standard appropriate for external scrutiny.
- High levels of integrity and demonstrated commitment to workplace equity principles.
- Ability to hold a valid Working with Children Check
